ERCDC Programs & Services
Special Education Itinerant Services (SEIT)
SEIT services are provided through ERCDC by certified special education teachers on an itinerant basis at a site determined by the CPSE. SEIT teachers are trained to help children who are experiencing difficulties in speech and language, hearing, social skills, behavior difficulties, short attention span, impulsivity, low frustration tolerance, cognitive and motor delays.
SEIT teachers provide specialized individual or group instruction directly to the student. These experienced, master level teachers may provide consultation to your child’s teacher to adjust the learning environment in the general education setting or they can modify instructional methods to meet your child’s individual needs when attending an early childhood program, regular preschool program, a day care or Head Start program. Services may also be provided in your home.
